Dear Bestie,

We did it! We made it through the second and final eclipse season of 2025! I don't know about y'all, but that eclipse filled me full of so much chaotic energy. Thankfully, this Scorpio stellium and C-PTSD baddie held it all together — yay! I survived eclipse season without a DEFCON-1-Scorpio-crash-out. My contemplative practices: meditation, journaling, and tarot — and many others — kept me rooted in the current moment and helped me calm my anxiety these past two weeks.

In other news, I was accepted into Portland in Color's first Creative Crecimiento cohort, a local professional development series in Portland for BIPOC artists. We had our first meeting last week and our second is tonight! I am so excited, and to be a little business nerd, I feel a lot more calm nowadays marketing myself considering that my sales workflows are clear. That being said, expect posts on the Embody Gabayan socials — Instagram and TikTok — to start this week. I'm mustering up the courage to experiment with a TikTok Live tonight, and should continue to have those throughout the week. I'll be experimenting with a variety of times to go live this week and should have a regular schedule to share with you soon. Mahalo for your patience! This 6th house Virgo mars be meticulous, and having eclipses in the Pisces-Virgo axis while Pisces-Virgo are the North & South Nodes was a trip!!!!!

In-person events are HAPPENING! Learn more below:

Foundational Astrology, an introduction to the world of astrology through the 12 signs, personal planets, and the 12 houses will be taking place at Kindness Farm on Sunday, October 5, 2025 from 2PM - 5PM. This workshop will be sliding scale $25 - $100 / person and tea, light snacks, and digital resources will be provided. I also will be hosting this workshop on Wednesday, October 15, 2025 from 6-8:30pm at Nalu Kava Lounge and Teahouse.

Twined Bags, an introduction to twining and making small bags out of various materials — yarn, cotton, hemp. In my position with UTOPIA PDX, this was a huge hit amongst kids, adults, and elders alike! Twined bags have a basis in cultures all across the world, but I learned this from James and Stephanie at an educators conference hosted by Confluence, two years ago. Join me at Kindness Farm on Sunday, October 12, 2025 from 2PM - 4PM. This workshop will be sliding scale $20-$75 / person and tea, light snacks, and materials will be provided.

Straw Lei Workshop, learn how to make a one-straw and two-straw lei while learning the history of this practice from Hawai'i. Please note, these are yarn lei and not flower lei. These lei are so soft and make amazing gifts or adornments for your loved ones, family, and yourself! I will be hosting this workshop on Monday, October 13, 2025 from 6-8pm at Nalu Kava Lounge and Teahouse. Please stop by, grab some awa or another wellness drink, and craft with us! This class will be offered for $10-$40 / person and materials will be provided.

If you aren't able to attend these in-person events, I am planning to offer these in a virtual format later in October as well. You can register for all of these offerings on my Planoly site!

Yay! Eclipse season is over.. or is it? Well, energy doesn't just come out of nowhere. It flows. The energy from transits and celestial events like these eclipses don't just vanish after they occur, they ease in and out like waves. The days before a transit passes into a new energy and the days after, that energy can still be felt. So if you're still feeling the chaos from the eclipse, that makes perfect sense. I know I am. But that energy will fade and settle — kind of. I only say that because we are also living in a time of five retrogrades: Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, Pluto, and Chiron. Now, I have heard this idea be called many things like an adjustment period, or hangover, but I personally like to call it a shadow period. Did I mention I have a Scorpio stellium?

This past solar eclipse in Virgo was in direct contrast to our lunar eclipse in Pisces back on September 7. While the Pisces lunar eclipse asked us to embrace the chaos and messiness of our emotions and inner worlds, this Virgo solar eclipse asks us to look at the mess — both that was created, and that we've been ignoring — and to start actively taking steps towards cleaning it up. It makes the most sense to begin implementing one change in your life going forward, because eclipse energy is chaotic and we're still in its shadow. For me, that change is creating content again and putting my manao (thoughts) into the world. Both through this newsletter, but soon through social media posts, lives, and webinars.

It's time to grow this community and put all this TikTok girlie delulu, my personal tarot readings, and highkey, my chart to work. I am destined for great things, and it's time I embrace that. That's my eclipse season revelation. What is yours?
